Annually, Historic Downtown North

on the evolution from the history of
moonshine to the more refined methods of
the flourishing wine industry. The
Festival showcases hundreds of wines
that patrons are welcome to taste for a
small fee. Entertainment is provided at
the festival with live music and the
Culinary Chef Competition.
Fall is kicked off with the annual
Battle of the Bands Rock Concert that
takes place on the parking decks of
North Wilkesboro. The 20 odd number of
bands are hand selected to compete for
the title of the Best Rock Band in the
region. These bands take stage at 4pm,
and professional bands play later
in the evening and continue late into
the night. Be sure to bring a
chair and the entire family for an
exciting night of rock, and
remember the event is alcohol free.
